Parents should note that the beach does not have lifeguards, so please be aware. Leaving the visitor’s centre, on the way to the beach, you will pass by the group camp ground area. The Pinery has group and individual camping accommodations, divided into 4 separate areas of the park. Each area offers hundreds of individual camp site locations, while the group camp site locations support groups of up to thirty five campers. This is ideal for large camping excursions, classes or other organizations that wish to use the park facilities.

  • Riverside Campgrounds 1 & 2
  • Riverside Campgrounds 3 & 4
  • Dunes Campgrounds (close to the beach)
  • Burley Campgrounds (furthest away but more private)

Both electrical and non-electric camp site locations are offered for both tent and trailer camping. But reserve your location early so you don’t get disappointed – The Pinery is very busy between May and September! In addition to camping and hiking, there are also a number of pavilions that can be booked for special occasions.

The pavilions are located between the Ausable River Side camp grounds and the Pinery Beach which is located at the base of Lake Huron. All-in-all the Pinery offers family friendly camping and nature-based activities that are sure to enrich your vacation.
